A Voice to Represent You

Meet Christine Steere, Candidate for Worcester Township Supervisor

My husband and I moved to Worcester in 2000 to start and raise our family. Originally from a rural town in Maine, I was drawn to the strong sense of community and excellent quality of education within both Worcester and Methacton School District. When my elderly parents’ health prevented them from continuing to live on their own, we moved them into our Worcester home.

Now a proud mother of two Methacton High School graduates, I was an active volunteer within the school district during my daughters’ school years. I volunteered as a Homeroom Mom and served as Home & School President at Woodland Elementary for several years. I later served as President of the Methacton Coordinating Council. Once my girls were in high school, I was an active member of the Girls Varsity Soccer Boosters and volunteered with Methacton’s Post Prom Committee.

Within our community, I currently serve as a Board Member on the Methacton Education Foundation, which supports innovative educational initiatives and enrichment for Methacton students. I am also a founding member of the 4 Local Foundation, a Pennsylvania non-profit dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of local charitable organizations, such as Laurel House. I have volunteered at the FC Montco Soccer Club’s annual Marc J. Small Memorial Soccer Tournament, where both of my girls played and volunteered their time. I also served on Worcester Township’s Comprehensive Plan Update Task Force which assisted the Board of Supervisors with laying out a vision for the Township for the next 10 years.

I am a graduate of the University of Maine where I received a BA in Political Science. I then obtained my Juris Doctorate from Temple University Beasley School of Law. For the past 24 years, I have worked as a practicing attorney representing municipalities and private employers across both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. My professional training and experience in employment, civil rights, and municipal law provide me the tools to be an effective advocate on behalf of Worcester and its residents. I am ready to listen to all community members and bring my professional skills to the Board of Supervisors.
